Tactile Research by the Dog Rose Trust

innovative actions

The Dog Rose Trust is researching into tactile manufacturing processes funded by the Innovative Actions programme, funded by Advantage West Midlands. This is a progression of work that the Trust has been involved in for nearly ten years. Already the Trust has developed and uses several unique techniques.

As part of this work, the Trust is commissioning a range of examples from producers of a variety of techniques. This is to examine various ways that tactile materials can be produced for use by everyone, including those who are blind and visually impaired.

The aim is to use techniques which integrate all users, therefore making the end product attractive and interesting for all senses.
